These Terms of Service & Sale govern your access to and use of Kiplik’s digital platform, AI-assisted writing studio, memoir creation tools, and custom book printing services.

- Garantie Qualité 14 jours : En cas de défaut de fabrication ou de dommage de livraison, nous réimprimons votre livre gratuitement.
1. Subject & Acceptance of Terms
Kiplik provides a digital studio allowing users to write, organize, illustrate, and preserve personal stories, collaborate with an AI co-writer, export digital files (PDF/EPUB), and order custom-bound physical books. Creating an account or placing an order constitutes full agreement to these Terms.
2. Intellectual Property & Ownership of Your Content
You retain 100% full and exclusive ownership of all writings, stories, audio notes, photos, and materials you upload or create on Kiplik.
Limited License Granted to Kiplik
By uploading or creating content on Kiplik, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license solely to host, store, process, display, generate book layouts, and print the physical copies you explicitly order.
User Warranties
You warrant that you own or hold all necessary copyright and image rights for all uploaded content. You agree not to upload infringing, defamatory, unlawful, or hateful material.
3. AI Features & Usage Disclaimer
The AI writing assistant (powered by Google Gemini) is a creative support tool designed to suggest chapter themes, outline ideas, and rephrase drafts. You acknowledge and agree to the following:
- User Review Required: You remain the sole author and editor of your final work and must review all names, dates, facts, and spellings before publishing or placing a print order.
- No Professional Advice: The AI assistant does not offer legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
- Service Disclaimer: While we strive for high-quality suggestions, we do not warrant that AI proposals will be entirely error-free.
4. Account Security & Acceptable Use
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass security limits, upload malicious code, or access other users’ data. Kiplik reserves the right to suspend accounts engaged in abusive or illegal conduct.
5. Pricing, AI Credits & Payments
Prices for AI credit packs and physical book orders are transparently displayed prior to purchase.
AI Credit Packs
AI credits are one-time purchases with no subscription requirement. Credits are deducted only upon successful completion of an AI action. In the event of a server error during an AI call, credits are automatically refunded. Unused credits do not expire while your account remains active.
Secure Payment Processing
Payments are securely processed via Stripe. Stripe directly handles payment details in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. Kiplik does not store raw credit card data.
6. Print Orders & Custom Goods Exemption (Right of Withdrawal)
Printed photobooks and hardcover memoirs ordered on Kiplik are custom-manufactured physical items personalized according to explicit user specifications.
Exemption from Right of Withdrawal (Art. L. 221-28 3° French Consumer Code / EU Directive 2011/83/EU)
Under EU and French consumer protection law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal DOES NOT APPLY to goods manufactured to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized. Once production has started with our print partner following order confirmation, print orders cannot be canceled or refunded under statutory withdrawal rights.
7. Quality Guarantee, Defects & Returns
Kiplik is committed to producing books of exceptional print quality (120g/m² fine art paper, premium binding).
Defective Products & Damage in Transit
If your printed book arrives damaged or contains a clear manufacturing defect, contact legal@kiplik.com within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue. Upon verification, we will reprint and reship your book free of charge or offer a refund if reprinting is not possible.
User-Generated Errors Not Covered
The guarantee does not cover typos, grammatical errors, omitted text, low-resolution photographs, or layout choices approved by the user during digital proofing.
8. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kiplik shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction continue to apply.
